About The Position

Are you passionate about nurturing young minds in a warm, engaging, and hands-on learning environment? Beth El Early Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Preschool Teacher in the Infant/Toddler Rooms to support our Lead Teacher in creating a joyful, safe, and developmentally rich experience for young children. As an Assistant Preschool Teacher, you will support classroom instruction, daily routines, and the social-emotional growth of young children in a collaborative, values-driven environment.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children.
Completion of Introductory Childcare Training (45 hours) or willingness to obtain.
CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
Must meet all applicable state and local licensing requirements.
Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate educational practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Flexibility, creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a drug test and Level II background screening.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Jewish culture and traditions is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist with implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
Support daily care routines including feeding, napping, diapering/toileting, and hygiene.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
Observe and support children’s developmental milestones.
Encourage positive behavior, independence, and self-confidence.
Communicate effectively with families and team members.
