About The Position
ABCD is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support the Infant/Toddler Teacher classroom at its Lake Ontario Center. The role supports the care and development of infants and toddlers in a safe, loving, clean, and engaging environment. The assistant works with the Lead Teacher, follows health, safety, and licensing regulations, and communicates positively with teachers and families. ABCD is an equal opportunity employer.
Requirements
- A current CDA, or experience working with infants and toddlers accompanied by coursework or training with infant/toddler content, a degree in a related field, or training with infant and toddler content.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Ability to lift, carry, and care for young children.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in Early Childhood or Child Development preferred.
- Experience working with infants and/or toddlers preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in caring for infants and toddlers.
- Support daily routines, including feeding, diapering, napping, and playtime.
- Help create a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment.
- Observe and support children’s developmental milestones.
- Follow health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Communicate positively with teachers and families.
