About The Position

The Learning Experience is seeking a caring, energetic Infant Teacher to open a new infant room and support young children’s exploration and development. The role creates a safe, loving, engaging classroom and implements the hands-on L.E.A.P. Curriculum®. The teacher shares daily updates, photos, and milestones with families; collaborates with teachers and center leadership; models early-childhood best practices; helps guide assistant teachers; and ensures compliance with state licensing and safety standards. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, paying $17.00–$20.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 6 months of professional childcare or teaching experience working with infants in a licensed childcare center.
High school diploma or GED required.
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and infant milestones.
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Must meet all Connecticut state requirements for an Early Childhood Teacher position.
Positive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.

Nice To Haves

One year of infant childcare or teaching experience preferred.
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
