About The Position

A warm, organized family in Kirkland is seeking a dependable full-time nanny to care for their 10-month-old daughter. The baby is described as active and curious, enjoying crawling, pulling up, learning new skills, eating, listening to songs, and engaging in babbling conversations. The family values organization, reliability, clear communication, and follow-through. They enjoy introducing their daughter to new experiences and aim to build a trusting, long-term relationship with a nanny who can be a consistent and reassuring presence. The ideal candidate is calm, warm, reliable, and experienced with older babies and toddlers, with a natural ability to engage children. They enjoy playing on the floor, talking, singing, and encouraging developmental milestones. Safety and hygiene are paramount, and the nanny should be comfortable following established routines and preferences. The role involves collaboration with parents who may be home during parts of the day, with parents taking the lead in childcare decisions. A quieter, easygoing personality and a patient, understanding approach are preferred. The position is long-term, with an approximate one-year commitment, and includes child-focused household responsibilities only, with guaranteed hours and accrued PTO. Requirements

Several years of hands-on experience with infants and toddlers.
Confident in engaging a toddler throughout the day.
Reliable, punctual, highly safety-conscious, and attentive to hygiene.
Comfortable following parents' preferred routines and care practices.
Proactive communication regarding attendance, illness, or schedule concerns.
Fully vaccinated, including COVID-19, flu, Tdap, MMR, and other recommended baby-related vaccinations.
Glowing references from recent nanny positions.
Must be able to lift 35 pounds safely.
Must be able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day.
Must be able to react quickly to certain situations.
May need to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective, and safe manner.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive, engaging care for one growing baby.
Engage in floor play, reading, and singing with the baby.
Facilitate outdoor time for the baby.
Prepare simple, age-appropriate foods and adapt meal preparation as the baby progresses.
Wash bottles and baby dishes, keeping feeding items clean and ready.
Keep the baby and dog safely separated using baby gates and established boundaries.
As trust develops, may include neighborhood walks and outings to libraries, museums, and other age-appropriate activities.
