About The Position
Duanesburg Daycare Center is seeking two Assistant Teachers, one for the Infant room and one for the Toddler room. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with shifts between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm. The role involves working with young children and requires specific training and certifications.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1 year experience working with children under 13
- Maintain 30 hours of childcare-related training every 2 years
- Tuberculosis (TB) Test and physician’s clearance to work in childcare
- Basic computer skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
- Child Abuse Prevention (Supervisory Staff), CPR, First Aid, AED, Blood-borne Pathogens trainings (completed within 30 days of hire)
Responsibilities
- Assist in the care and education of infants and toddlers.
- Maintain required training hours every two years.
- Complete required certifications such as TB Test, CPR, First Aid, AED, and Blood-borne Pathogens training within 30 days of hire.
