About The Position
Duanesburg Daycare Center is seeking two Assistant Teachers, one for the Infant room and one for the Toddler room. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with shifts between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The role involves working with children and requires specific training and qualifications.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- HS Diploma/GED
- 1 year experience working with children under 13
- Maintain 30 hours of childcare-related training every 2 years
- Tuberculosis (TB) Test and physician’s clearance to work in childcare
- Basic computer skills, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
- Child Abuse Prevention (Supervisory Staff), CPR, First Aid, AED, Blood-borne Pathogens trainings (completed within 30 days of hire)
Responsibilities
- Work with children in the infant and toddler age groups.
- Complete required childcare-related training.
- Maintain basic computer skills.
- Relate to diverse groups in the community.
