About The Position

commercetools is seeking an Industry Marketing Manager for the Medtech & Life Sciences sector. This role involves becoming an industry expert, developing and executing demand generation strategies, and driving pipeline growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of B2B demand generation, particularly within regulated industries, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with sales and product marketing teams. This is a hybrid role, requiring three days a week in the Boston office.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of B2B demand generation experience.
  • Meaningful exposure to Medtech, Life Sciences, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotech, or adjacent healthcare sectors.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and executing campaigns that drive measurable pipeline.
  • Experience working across the demand generation toolkit: digital advertising, ABM, content syndication, email nurture, events, and BDR partnership.
  • Strong ability to quickly learn a new industry and adapt programs to reach specific audiences.
  • Comfort working in close partnership with Product Marketing.
  • Sharp analytical mindset, comfortable in a CRM and marketing automation platform.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple programs simultaneously, and drive results with minimal direction.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the regulatory and procurement dynamics of Medtech & Life Sciences, understanding how buying decisions are made in environments shaped by FDA oversight, group purchasing organizations (GPOs), or formulary processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a working knowledge of the Medtech & Life Sciences commerce landscape, including buyer personas and industry trends.
  • Identify and prioritize sub-verticals for focused marketing efforts.
  • Map the information ecosystem to understand where buyers seek information.
  • Serve as a demand generation partner to the sales team, providing campaign context and follow-up materials.
  • Own and execute the demand generation plan for the Medtech & Life Sciences vertical.
  • Define and prioritize target account segments in partnership with sales and ABM teams.
  • Design and run multi-channel campaigns tailored to the Medtech & Life Sciences buyer journey.
  • Manage budget and programs end-to-end, focusing on pipeline contribution.
  • Own pipeline targets for the Medtech & Life Sciences vertical and report on marketing's contribution.
  • Identify and invest in high-leverage demand generation channels.
  • Work closely with BDRs and sales to ensure effective campaign-to-conversation handoffs.
  • Continuously test, measure, and optimize campaign performance using a data-driven approach.
