This role focuses on the Medtech & Life Sciences industry, requiring the individual to become an industry expert, build and execute demand generation strategies, and drive pipeline for this vertical. The role is hybrid, with three days a week spent in the Boston office.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of B2B demand generation experience.
  • Meaningful exposure to Medtech, Life Sciences, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotech, or adjacent healthcare sectors.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and executing campaigns that drive measurable pipeline.
  • Experience working across the demand generation toolkit: digital advertising, ABM, content syndication, email nurture, events, and BDR partnership.
  • Strong ability to quickly learn a new industry, research, find the right channels, and adapt programs to reach a specific audience effectively.
  • Comfort working in close partnership with Product Marketing.
  • Sharp analytical mindset, comfortable in a CRM and marketing automation platform.
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple programs simultaneously, and drive results without heavy direction.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the regulatory and procurement dynamics of Medtech & Life Sciences.
  • Understanding of how buying decisions are made in environments shaped by FDA oversight, group purchasing organizations (GPOs), or formulary processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a working knowledge of the Medtech & Life Sciences commerce landscape, including key buyer personas and industry trends.
  • Identify sub-verticals to prioritize based on commercetools' ability to address unique use cases.
  • Map the information ecosystem to identify trusted publications, communities, events, analysts, and influencers.
  • Serve as a demand generation-focused partner to the sales team, providing campaign context and follow-up materials.
  • Own the demand generation plan for the Medtech & Life Sciences vertical, working with Product Marketing to activate positioning and messaging.
  • Define and prioritize target account segments within the vertical in partnership with sales and ABM teams.
  • Design and run multi-channel campaigns tailored to the Medtech & Life Sciences buyer journey.
  • Own and manage budget and programs end-to-end, focusing on pipeline contribution as the measure of success.
  • Own pipeline targets for the Medtech & Life Sciences vertical and report on marketing's contribution.
  • Identify and invest in high-leverage demand generation channels for this audience.
  • Work closely with BDRs and sales to ensure tight campaign-to-conversation handoffs and build feedback loops.
  • Continuously test, measure, and optimize campaign performance using a data-driven approach.
