About The Position

At HNTB, this role creates valuable and memorable experiences for clients and other stakeholders connected to HNTB’s Tier One industry organizations. The manager helps ensure industry engagement represents the HNTB brand positively, sustains partnerships with industry organizations, vendors, and host client agencies, and works with external partners and client staff to develop trusted relationships and deliver sophisticated events. The role also supports event budgeting and communicates regularly with the Industry Engagement Director and other relevant colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a relevant field and 8 years of relevant experience, including corporate, non-profit, or agency event planning experience.
• In lieu of a degree, 12 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure industry engagement portrays the HNTB brand in the best possible light.
• Maintain partnerships with key industry organizations, vendors, and host client agencies.
• Collaborate with external partners and client staff to discover value, develop trusted relationships, and deliver sophisticated events.
• Create detailed event plans covering venues, timelines, budgets, catering, transportation, accommodations, and other details to ensure seamless implementation.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with partners on aspects of creating and carrying out successful events.
• Communicate regularly with the Industry Engagement Director and others as appropriate, proactively sharing event information and recommending improvements.
• Support the Industry Engagement Director and others as appropriate in developing annual budgets for external events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
