About The Position

We're looking for a confident, hands-on Senior Superintendent to take charge of field operations and keep projects running smoothly from the ground up. In this dynamic role, you'll lead onsite construction efforts—from preconstruction through completion—ensuring schedules stay tight, safety stays top-of-mind, and quality never wavers. You’ll coordinate teams and subcontractors, guide Assistant Superintendents and Field Engineers, and act as the go-to connection between the field and project stakeholders. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 10+ years of experience working as a Superintendent in the construction industry required.
  • 10+ years of supervisory experience required, ideally with complex or large-scale industrial projects.
  • Knowledge of and ability to follow OSHA protocols, as well as the ability to learn and follow Hutton safety protocols.
  • Deep knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, safety regulations, and building codes.
  • Proficiency with technology including tablets, email, and construction software.
  • OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 certification required or must be obtained within a set time after hire.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Possess a valid unrestricted Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s in construction management or similar field preferred.
  • Experience with the following software: Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite and project management software, such as Asta or P6.
  • 10+ years of supervisory experience, self-perform concrete crews.
  • Industrial construction experience, preferably with ground-up builds.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Field Operations: Oversee on-site construction from preconstruction through completion, ensuring alignment with project goals, schedules, and safety standards.
  • Lead daily huddles, weekly coordination meetings, and site walks to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Manage Teams & Subcontractors: Coordinate field staff and subcontractors to deliver high-quality work, while mentoring Assistant Superintendents and Field Engineers.
  • Drive Scheduling & Logistics: Develop and manage project schedules, monitor site logistics, and ensure timely delivery of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Uphold Safety & Quality: Enforce all safety policies, conduct regular site walks and meetings, and proactively resolve issues to maintain high standards.
  • Facilitate Communication: Act as the primary liaison between the field and key stakeholders—including project managers, architects, and owners.
  • Support Documentation & Planning: Review drawings, maintain daily reports, and participate in constructability reviews and preconstruction planning as needed.
