About The Position

Join Tyson Foods near Fort Worth, TX, as an Industrial Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic on the 3rd shift. This role is responsible for the operation and maintenance of ammonia refrigeration systems, HCFC systems, hot water, air compressors, and waste treatment operations, ensuring their safe and efficient functioning. The position requires adherence to OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Program (RMP) standards, strong teamwork, and foundational knowledge in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems. Requirements

At least 1 year of industrial refrigeration experience or trade school equivalent.
Must be able to read and understand Equipment and System P&ID's.
Must be able to pass a HAZ-Mat physical and training to be certified as an Emergency Responder Technician Level and participate on the Emergency Response Team.
Must participate in Plant HazMat team.
Must pass Pulmonary Function Test (PFT).
Working knowledge of electrical testing equipment and basic hand and power tools.
Working knowledge of Windows-based software, such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to learn and apply Tyson SAP-PM Plant Maintenance system.
Must be able to communicate with all team members.
Possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Interact professionally with all levels of the organization.
Approximately one to two weeks of travel per year is possible for training.

Nice To Haves

3+ years of Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration and equipment room experience in a food plant preferred.
Extensive knowledge of Industrial Safety procedures is preferred.
RETA and IIAR Ammonia Refrigeration training is preferred.
RETA I Certification and Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification preferred.
Knowledge of Industrial Maintenance to include hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC's, Motor Controls, and shop equipment operations desired.
Experience in the Air Conditioning/Refrigeration industry is a plus.
Industrial maintenance experience is a plus.
Experience with Air Conditioning / Refrigeration systems operation and maintenance is a plus.
Formal training from an Air-conditioning / Refrigeration Technical School is a plus.

Responsibilities
