About The Position
The Industrial Mechanic III is responsible for ensuring that all engineered systems are maintained, the preventative maintenance program is carried out and is part of a team that installs, tests and verifies the proper operation of manufacturing equipment. This role will be responsible for assembling parts, installing process piping and servicing equipment like motors, blowers and pumps. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Engineering and is part of the Facilities and Engineering Department located in Torrance, Ca and will be an on-site role.
Requirements
- Minimum of a 2-Year associate degree in the mechanical field.
- 2+ years as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment, preferable from the Pharmaceutical, Beverage or Food industry
- Strong background and knowledge in mechanical, pneumatics, and pump repair

Responsibilities
- Trouble shoot and correct equipment issues as reported.
- Set up and changeover equipment in accordance with manufacturing recommendations and with all the required safety protocols in place.
- Perform routine and non-routine preventive maintenance as defined by the schedules.
- Maintain all documentation of work performed and update the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) with the appropriate information.
- Work with vendors and contractors as needed to perform installations and carry out maintenance work.
