The Industrial Mechanic III is responsible for maintaining engineered systems, executing the preventative maintenance program, and installing, testing, and verifying the proper operation of manufacturing equipment. This role involves assembling parts, installing process piping, and servicing equipment such as motors, blowers, and pumps. The position reports to the Senior Manager of Engineering and is part of the Facilities and Engineering Department, located in Torrance, CA, and is an on-site role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a 2-Year associate degree in the mechanical field.
  • 2+ years as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment, preferable from the Pharmaceutical, Beverage or Food industry.
  • Strong background and knowledge in mechanical, pneumatics, and pump repair.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in preventative maintenance best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and correct equipment issues as reported.
  • Set up and changeover equipment in accordance with manufacturing recommendations and with all the required safety protocols in place.
  • Perform routine and non-routine preventive maintenance as defined by the schedules.
  • Maintain all documentation of work performed and update the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) with the appropriate information.
  • Work with vendors and contractors as needed to perform installations and carry out maintenance work.
