Second Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Carrier is looking for a 2nd Shift Production Maintenance Mechanic for their Indianapolis furnace plant. This role involves taking full ownership of the machinery and equipment that keeps the plant running. It is a unionized site offering stability, competitive pay, and benefits. Responsibilities include the reliability of systems, modifying, fabricating, setting up, and adjusting a wide variety of mechanical systems under general supervision. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED AND successfully complete (70% or higher) the applicable Industrial Assessment Test OR Hold a current Journeyman's Card OR Successfully completed a Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Program for machine repair
- 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance
- Willing and able to complete the Carrier safety programs successfully
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the USA.

Responsibilities
- Keep the machines and equipment in efficient operating conditions
- Inspect machines and perform preventive maintenance
- Dismantle, move and repair industrial machinery and equipment
- Conduct modification, fabrication, and installation of industrial machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning industrial machinery and equipment
- Follow site safety rules and processes i.e., in the associate handbook, cardinal rule cards, job specific standard work and relevant EHS training documents
