About The Position

As a subject matter expert, the Industrial Maintenance Specialist will utilize extensive and diverse knowledge to maintain, repair, and optimize production machinery, blow molding equipment, and facility operations. This role requires expertise in mechanical, electrical, controls, and/or PLC systems to ensure high efficiency and reliability in manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment, specializing in mechanical, electrical, controls, and/or PLC systems.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with Uniloy, Liberty, Bekum and Rocheleau machines is highly desirable.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to coordinate work instructions with team members.
  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal) with various levels in the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 to include Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to lead maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support as needed to reduce costs.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold corporate and plant safety standards, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations from relevant agencies and in accordance with the Altium Guiding Principles.
  • Expertly diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment, including but not limited to advanced PLC systems, electrical controls, hydraulics systems, pneumatics, and similar equipment.
  • Install, adjust, and repair blow mold machinery, trimmers, palletizers, and related equipment with precision.
  • Perform mold, neck tooling changes, pin adjustments, and other equipment modifications efficiently.
  • Inspect, replace, and repair pneumatic and hydraulic components, including hoses, valves, and pumps.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on all related equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Utilize welding and fabrication skills to repair and enhance machine components as necessary.
  • Identify root causes of issues in blow mold and support equipment, implementing effective solutions.
  • Engage with other departments to enhance equipment reliability and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on specialized tasks and procedures and train and mentor maintenance technicians to build up overall capability within the site team.
  • Use the work order system to document repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment evaluations.
  • Perform other task as assigned.
  • Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
