About The Position

This role is for an Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist focused on industrial equipment. The ideal candidate thrives on solving complex equipment issues, possesses a broad skill set encompassing PLCs, precision alignment, and CMMS analysis, and is eager to mentor others while improving equipment uptime and safety. The specialist will perform expert break/fix and preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair machinery, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Associate technical degree plus 5+ years in a relevant industry, or 7+ years of directly related industry experience.
  • Experience with predictive technologies, precision alignment, and maintenance of process equipment.
  • Ability to interpret and work with electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems; analyze problems, propose alternatives, and complete repairs.
  • Proficiency with basic and specialized tools.
  • Background in vibration analysis or laser interferometer operations; precision alignment experience.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform expert break/fix and preventive maintenance across industrial assets.
  • Watch equipment in operation to isolate root causes; disassemble, inspect, adjust, repair/replace, and validate performance using electrical and mechanical testing.
  • Restore and repair machine tools.
  • Team with the Planner/Scheduler to enhance PM strategies.
  • Identify and procure parts/supplies; evaluate options to reduce cost and increase reliability.
  • Independently execute maintenance tasks to industry standards.
  • Operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking machines to make/repair parts; perform welding when needed.
  • Uphold 5S and strong housekeeping.
  • Drive CI initiatives, leveraging proven tools to improve processes and generate savings.
  • Coach junior technicians; provide technical leadership to project teams and support training initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot sophisticated control systems, resolving software, hardware, and configuration issues.
  • Use predictive maintenance technologies to gather performance data, analyze trends, and recommend actions.
  • Update records, review CMMS histories, and analyze data to inform maintenance plans.
  • Pursue OJT and self-study to grow your expertise.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures; maintain situational awareness to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors.
