About The Position

Vitro Architectural Glass is seeking skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanics to join our Maintenance Team at our Fresno, California manufacturing facility. Our plant operates 24 hours a day, producing high-quality architectural glass used in commercial buildings throughout North America. This role involves troubleshooting complex equipment, solving mechanical problems, and working with a team that values safety and reliability.

Requirements

Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, conveyors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment
Welding and fabrication experience preferred
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
Repair and replace motors, pumps, conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, chains, belts, and power transmission equipment
Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment modifications
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Safely perform Lockout/Tagout and follow all safety procedures
Operate forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other maintenance equipment
Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
Accurately document completed maintenance work
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and fellow Maintenance team members to improve equipment reliability
