Schedule: Monday to Friday (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM)

Requirements

  • Pass fit-for-duty testing, including medical, drug and alcohol, and a criminal record check.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs as part of the physical requirements.
  • At least 4 years of combined work experience in pipefitting, heavy duty mechanics or an oil & gas plant maintenance position.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Commitment to safety and a strong focus on adhering to safety regulations.
  • Ability to work well with other technical staff and support various departments.
  • Willingness to assist with operational tasks beyond maintenance.

Nice To Haves

  • Current safety certificates (H2S Alive/Aware, Intermediate First Aid, Energy Safe Fall Protection, Energy Safe Confined Space Entry, Elevated Work Platform) are assets
  • Millwright: completion of a recognized apprenticeship program is an asset
  • Heavy Duty Mechanic: completion of a recognized apprenticeship program is an asset
  • Pipefitter: completion of a recognized apprenticeship program is an asset
  • Experience operating skid steers and wheel loaders is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspections, observations, and reporting of the condition & mechanical repairs/maintenance required to all equipment, vehicles, trailers & miscellaneous equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings.
  • Conduct tests and inspections to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifecycle.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, such as lubrication and part replacement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a strong culture of safety.
  • Comply with WHMIS and OH&S safety standards and comply with all corresponding administrative procedures.
  • Identify and repair problematic equipment using diagnostic tools.
  • Operate skid steers, wheel loaders and other machinery to assist with installations.
  • Use hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery during setup and repair.
  • Maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Communicate maintenance procedures, issues, and concerns to management.
  • Observe operators and operating condition of the equipment maintenance procedures and daily inspections
  • Requisition of materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, or replacement parts.
  • Comply with all administrative paperwork that is requested to ensure the proper records and maintenance of all equipment.
