Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
About The Position
PABCO® Gypsum, a division of PABCO® Building Products LLC, has provided quality gypsum board products and service for over 35 years. PABCO® Gypsum supplies a complete line of gypsum products for commercial and residential construction. The Newark, CA plant is currently accepting applications for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. This position is responsible for performing routine and scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic systems, completing fabrication work, and maintaining equipment to maximize uptime. The ideal candidate is safety-minded and committed to maintaining a clean, organized, and productive work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Two (2) or more years related experience and/or training.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Lift and/or move 60 pounds and more.
Responsibilities
- Understanding and knowledge of complex, pneumatic and/or hydraulic processes.
- Perform routine and schedule maintenance on process equipment to maintain uptime.
- Fabrication as needed.
- Perform inventory existing parts and report use for reorder.
- Maintain work area according to plant standard for safety, efficiency and cleanliness.
- Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- All other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned.
