Total Safety Careers•Casper, WY

About The Position

Total Safety is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Specialist to monitor client employees and contractors for physical and chemical stressors. The role performs workplace exposure assessments, evaluates and ranks agents, develops industrial hygiene sampling plans, recognizes hazards, and recommends control measures. Sampling activities may address noise, chemicals, radioactive materials, and airborne solid contaminants. The position also supports refinery and customer-site safety operations through permit oversight, confined-space permits, atmospheric testing, job walks, Job Safety Analyses, gas-monitor maintenance, job-site audits, contractor meetings, and other industrial hygiene tasks. The specialist works directly with customer safety teams and may need to make independent decisions in the field, respond to changing sampling needs, and prepare data and reports for review by a Certified Industrial Hygienist. Work takes place in indoor and outdoor industrial customer environments. Conditions may include exposure to hot, cold, wet, or humid weather, vibration, high pressure, chemicals, and traffic. Noise is usually moderate.
