About The Position
This position is for the Houston area. The Industrial Fire Alarm Service Technician services, inspects, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and performs routine maintenance on fire alarm systems. The technician programs systems using software, maintains accurate records of inspections and repairs, and trains customers on fire alarm systems.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems.
- Knowledge of fire safety codes and standards.
- Knowledge of electrical theory and wiring techniques.
- Must have state FAL certification in fire alarm systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of applicable fire codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Service and inspect fire alarm systems.
- Test fire alarm systems to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Troubleshoot and repair problems with fire alarm systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance on fire alarm systems.
- Program fire alarm systems using software.
- Keep accurate records of fire alarm system inspections and repairs.
- Provide training to customers on fire alarm systems.
