About The Position

This role is responsible for analyzing production schedules and sales forecasts to determine material requirements and prepare accurate material forecasts. The planner will monitor inventory levels, track material usage, and manage reorder points to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess inventory. They will also communicate with suppliers to place orders, manage delivery schedules, and resolve any issues related to material supply. Additionally, the planner will generate and process purchase orders, track deliveries, and collaborate with production teams or sales to address material shortages or delays. Maintaining accurate records and identifying opportunities for process improvements are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

• Proficiency in materials planning software and ERP systems.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in materials planning or inventory management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with suppliers to place orders, manage delivery schedules, and resolve any issues related to material supply.
• Generate and process purchase orders for materials and track their delivery to ensure timely receipt and availability.
• Collaborate with production teams or sales (Merchandize) to address any material shortages or delays and adjust plans to meet production requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of material orders, receipts, and inventory levels, and prepare reports as required.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in material planning and inventory management to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
