About The Position

Assist in collecting information and documenting processes to improve the efficiency and productivity of manufacturing operations. This role involves documenting detailed sequential work instructions and developing method sheets. It also includes preparing diagrams, graphs, and charts to illustrate routing, workflow, floor layouts, and procedures for material handling and machine usage. The technician will study the steps and time taken by workers to identify the efficiency of each role, observe workers using equipment to ensure proper maintenance and function, and use time devices (stopwatch or video camera) to determine Labor Times and Machine Standard Times. Finally, the role involves assessing data and drafting reports and graphs to indicate or validate deviations from existing operations and standards.

Requirements

  • Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office
  • Exceptional technical skills, analytical ability, judgment, and strong operational focus
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Either knowledge of 2D drawing in AutoCAD or willingness to learn to make 2D drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Minimum of 0 - 2 years’ experience in manufacturing
  • Associate Degree in Engineering or related field; applicable experience may be considered in lieu of degree
