About The Position

This role focuses on the preparation of cost estimates and engineering documentation for new and revised products. The primary function involves gathering and calculating all estimating data for Sales Cost Requests, submitting RFQs to the Purchasing Department, and obtaining/reviewing tooling quotes from Manufacturing/Tool Engineers. The position also requires inputting proposed manufacturing methods into the ERP Estimating/Quoting Module, writing Engineering Orders, and updating the ERP system with approved BOM and Routing changes. Additionally, the role involves preparing detailed Process Work Instructions and generating/revising production prints using Solidworks. Participation in weekly Sales/Engineering Cost/Design Review Meetings is expected. Additional tasks may include motion and time studies for process rate determination and conducting actual cost versus estimated cost audits.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, or related software.
• Solid mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to communicate and work with people at all levels of the office and factory floor.
• Two-year technical or financial degree preferred. Equivalent experience considered.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency using SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD preferred.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing Methods.

Responsibilities
