About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Industrial Engineering Manager (K Level) in North Charleston, SC. This role involves managing employees who perform engineering and technical activities in Industrial Engineering. The manager will develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals. They will also acquire resources for projects, provide technical management of suppliers, lead process improvements, and develop/maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. Additionally, the manager will provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes, and will manage, develop, and motivate employees.

Requirements

  • Completed bachelor's degree
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • 3+ years of working in an engineering organization in a manufacturing environment
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
  • 5+ years of working as an industrial engineering, or similar, in an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team to accomplish project and departmental goals
  • 3+ years of experience leading teammates in a formal and/or informal role
