About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Industrial Engineering Manager (K Level) in North Charleston, SC. This role manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Industrial Engineering. The manager will develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals. This includes acquiring resources for projects and processes, providing technical management of suppliers, and leading process improvements. The role involves developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports, while providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. Additionally, the manager will develop, manage, and motivate employees. Candidates will be required to complete a First-Line Leader Assessment as part of the selection process.

Requirements

  • Completed bachelor's degree
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • 3+ years of working in an engineering organization in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
  • 5+ years of working as an industrial engineering, or similar, in an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team to accomplish project and departmental goals
  • 3+ years of experience leading teammates in a formal and/or informal role
