Industrial Engineering Manager
About The Position
The Industrial Engineering Manager plans, designs, implements, and manages integrated production and service-delivery systems to ensure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost control at the production site. The role promotes profitability, effectiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, quality, and continuous improvement of products and services throughout their life cycles. The manager sets and communicates Industrial Engineering strategy, develops the site’s engineering team and succession plan, monitors key metrics, and ensures site processes and systems align with Jabil’s global and regional direction. The role also supports Lean initiatives by building a sound process foundation and maintaining data integrity, and may carry out other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering or Production Engineering.
- At least 5 years of work experience in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Understand and apply a broad range of Industrial Engineering tools, including work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, and operations research.
- Understand Jabil’s global strategies and direction, and the site’s facilities and capabilities in relation to those strategies.
- Understand the complete Sales to Payment process.
- Strong financial and analytical ability.
- Proven track record of successful change management, continuous improvement implementation and management, and cost-reduction programs.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency with personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and e-mail.

- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or an MBA.
- Lean Silver Certificate or Six Sigma Black Belt.
Responsibilities
- Establish and clearly communicate global and regional Industrial Engineering strategies to the Industrial Engineering Department.
- Coach, mentor, and train engineers in the Industrial Engineering Department.
- Recruit and retain Industrial Engineering talent at the site.
- Monitor key Industrial Engineering metrics, report results, and drive improvements at the site.
- Develop and maintain the site’s Industrial Engineering succession plan.
- Ensure Jabil processes are standardized throughout the site in accordance with global and regional direction.
- Standardize the configuration of systems used, such as SAP, MES, and IEDB.
- Develop and maintain site key process flow charts.
- Develop, analyze, and maintain accurate department forecasts using historical and forecast data.
- Support the Lean organization by developing a solid process foundation and maintaining data integrity to support process improvement throughout the organization.
- Support and/or maintain lower-level Industrial Engineering essential duties and responsibilities.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
