Fluidstack•Phoenix, AZ

About The Position

Fluidstack is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join their Logistics Team. The company's mission is to make humanity more free by delivering massive amounts of compute infrastructure for AI faster than anyone else. This role involves rethinking every layer of the stack, from acquiring power to operating data centers. Fluidstack values individuals who are autonomous, have insane urgency, reason from first principles, love the problem space, and build something that matters. The Logistics Team is responsible for critical problems such as optimizing material disposition, replacing outsourced warehousing with owned facilities, and building integrated warehouse, inventory, and transportation management systems from scratch.

Requirements

  • Designed or re-designed a warehouse layout and can point to the throughput or cost improvement it produced.
  • Run a time and motion study and turned it into a standard work instruction that a new hire could follow on day one.
  • Modeled dock, rack, or staging capacity against real operational data, not rule-of-thumb assumptions.
  • Partnered with a systems team to make sure new software matched a real physical process instead of forcing the process to bend to the software.
  • Ability to get to a site, watch how work actually happens, and find the waste that nobody built a report to catch.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Six Sigma or industrial engineering background.
  • Experience in data center, manufacturing, or high-throughput distribution environments.
  • Familiarity with warehouse simulation or layout modeling tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design pick, pack, receiving, and RMA workflows for each site's warehouse layout, optimizing for travel distance, throughput, and dock-to-floor time.
  • Run time and motion studies on warehouse and dock processes, and use the data to set the standard work each site trains against.
  • Model rack, dock door, and staging layouts for new and existing sites, balancing throughput against real estate cost.
  • Build the process documentation and standard work instructions that let a new site ramp to full productivity in weeks, not months.
  • Partner with the WMS and IMS system build teams to make sure new tooling matches the physical workflow, not the other way around.

Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
  • Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
  • Equity in the form of restricted stock units.
  • Commitment to pay equity and transparency.
