About The Position

The Electrician is responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems on production equipment and facility machinery. Working alongside experienced electricians, you will learn to diagnose electrical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and help keep equipment operating safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic electrical knowledge, technical training, or some hands-on experience who is eager to build a career in industrial maintenance. We are willing to train candidates who have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and a desire to learn.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting principles.
  • Ability to read or learn to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools used in electrical maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school, electrical apprenticeship, military electrical experience, or previous industrial, commercial, or residential electrical experience is preferred but not required.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.
  • CAD experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with electrical maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Help troubleshoot electrical components, motors, sensors, relays, drives, and control systems under the guidance of experienced electricians.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to help minimize equipment downtime.
  • Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Assist with installing, testing, and replacing electrical components as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and electrical safety practices.
  • Communicate effectively with operators, maintenance team members, and supervisors.
  • Participate in training and continuous skill development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
