About The Position

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR company, is hiring an Industrial Designer/Styling Intern to join its Industrial Design team in Denton, Texas. The internship is for students currently enrolled in college and focuses on design exploration and development for trucks. Projects may include advanced concept truck design, production truck design solutions, and personal industrial design concepts that support the intern’s portfolio and professional growth.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Transportation or a related industrial design program.

Nice To Haves

Design exploration and creative solution sketches focused on future Class 8 trucks.
Ability to communicate and coordinate strategically with Design, Engineering, and clay modelers.
Experience with 3D surface modeling, including Alias and Sub-D modeling, Gravity Sketch, and VR sessions.
Ability to use Photoshop for ideation, sketching, and rendering original, relevant design solutions.
Professionalism, enthusiasm, punctuality, courtesy, and positivity.
Ability to craft detailed, insightful emails and use Teams.
Ability to conduct competitive benchmarking via the web.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication, with emphasis on visual ideation.

Interest in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on tests.
