About The Position

Brady Corporation is seeking an Industrial Designer to design branded, seamless experiences across mobile computers, scanners, engravers, and printers. The role is part of a fast-paced, global, multidisciplinary design team that researches, designs, and delivers hardware and software solutions. The designer will help develop physical products for worldwide launch under the Brady brand, using insights into user needs to create outstanding products and memorable customer experiences. The position involves leading industrial design development and implementation, planning and executing design projects, and collaborating with designers and cross-functional teams. The designer will advocate for users, maintain alignment with Brady’s design language and brand goals, and consider the product lifecycle and the needs of all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead industrial design development and implementation.
Scope, plan, and execute design projects.
Ensure product development objectives and schedules are met.
Maintain an understanding of the marketplace, competition, industry, methods, and relevant trends.
Maintain the Brady brand design language in collaboration with cross-functional teams and design leadership, aligning work with overall brand goals.
Act as a customer advocate to continually improve and refine the customer experience.
Gather end-user requirements and insights using UX research methodologies.
Participate in defining and endorsing project parameters.
Provide innovative ideas to improve the customer experience across its lifecycle.
Define product shape, function, installation, use, maintenance, disposal, and other lifecycle aspects while considering all stakeholders.
Create differentiated products that deliver a memorable experience.
