About The Position
Flexcon Company, Inc. is a purpose-driven, family-owned global manufacturer of coated and laminated films and adhesives. The Industrial Custodian is responsible for the overall presentation of the plants and offices and ensuring the facility's appearance is acceptable. The schedule is weekdays from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of related facilities experience.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
- Perform general cleaning, dusting, disinfecting, and vacuuming, including cleaning spills and unexpected messes.
- Follow procedures and specifications for using cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors or fixtures.
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
- Remove trash from offices and plants.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or using hand trucks.
- Identify and report possible repairs.
- Complete minor facility repairs.
- Manage inventory of cleaning and maintenance items.
- Keep janitor offices and closets clean, organized, and safe.
- Notify the manager when major repairs or building additions are needed.
- Perform other routine maintenance duties as assigned.
