Industrial Cleaner
About The Position
The Industrial Cleaner keeps an automotive assembly plant safe, clean, and operating smoothly through heavy-duty cleaning and routine equipment maintenance. The position involves cleaning paint booth stations and surrounding areas with approved chemicals and a 5K high-pressure washer; scraping windows, wiping walls, replacing ceiling filters, and applying protective plastic or aluminum foil in booth areas; lifting metal flooring grates to clean beneath them; and clearing oven and flood sheet areas. Duties also include changing robot covers and applying grease. The work requires safely climbing ladders and navigating confined spaces, including hot and dirty areas, while using company-provided personal protective equipment. This is a full-time position at the Statesville Blvd location in Cleveland, North Carolina. The schedule is Thursday and Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 4:30 AM. Pay is $20.00 per hour. Requirements
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Comfort working in hot and dirty conditions while using company-provided PPE.
- Ability to stand, walk, crouch, and climb ladders.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to handle a 5K pressure washer.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Must complete Ladder, Confined Space, and Lockout/Tagout safety training.
Responsibilities
- Clean paint booth stations and surrounding areas using approved chemicals and a 5K high-pressure washer.
- Scrape windows and wipe down walls.
- Replace ceiling filters and apply protective plastic or aluminum foil in booth areas.
- Lift metal flooring grates and clean beneath them.
- Clear out oven and flood sheet areas.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, including changing robot covers and applying grease.
- Safely climb ladders and navigate confined spaces during heavy-duty cleaning routines.
- Follow instructions and complete required safety courses.
