About The Position

This role focuses on facilitating connections with new and expanding customers, managing business relationships, and acting as a key point of contact for customer needs. The position involves developing strategies to recruit new prospects, administering contracts, analyzing competitive options, and supporting budget and rate case filings. The role requires a strong understanding of natural gas equipment, system capacity, economic feasibility, and industry trends to promote natural gas usage and environmental sustainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or a related field and four years related experience; or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical, environmental, or other concepts to individuals with little or no background in the area.
  • Ability to perform analysis involving financial investments, ratios, percentages and statistical methods.
  • Working knowledge of various software applications to create documents, spreadsheets, financial analysis, reports and/or graphics.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the process to connect and serve new/expanding customers, including gathering equipment information, facilitating engineering reviews, preparing economic feasibility and rate reviews, identifying tariff/service options, preparing and negotiating agreements, and serving as a liaison during construction.
  • Develops and maintains strong business relationships with industrial, large commercial, and LDC customers, staying knowledgeable about industry trends and technologies.
  • Acts as a Company point of contact to ensure customer needs are met, including billing, tariffs, measurement, contract administration, service issues, environmental sustainability, and changes in gas delivery needs.
  • Builds relationships with economic development agencies to recruit new large volume prospects.
  • Assists with contract administration of assigned accounts, monitoring compliance, and communicating with customers during curtailment periods.
  • Reviews and recommends approval of large volume customer invoices monthly and verifies/collects overdue accounts.
  • Assists with the identification and analysis of competitive bypass options and negotiates approved competitive response options.
  • Maintains working knowledge of upstream pipeline supply and capacity conditions affecting transportation customers.
  • Administers business development programs to maximize customer retention, stakeholder engagement, and grow market share, promoting natural gas usage and environmental solutions.
  • Supports the annual industrial margin budget and confirms customer consumption projections for rate case filings.
