As an Industrial Automation Mechanic at Japs-Olson, this role is essential for keeping industrial equipment running, combining a tech-savvy mindset with an industrial mechanical background. The position involves working with multiple automation platforms on some of the newest technologies in the printing industry.

Requirements

• Strong networking knowledge
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics
• Ownership of personal tools is required

Nice To Haves

• PLC Programming - multiple platforms preferred
• Previous experience in the printing industry is preferred

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and program PLC’s, HMI’s, and VFD’s
• Work with drive manufacturers (Siemens, Lenz, and Schneider Electric)
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair large-scale presses
• Follow best practices to improve equipment uptime and reliability
• Utilize CMMS software for preventative maintenance, work orders, and inventory
• Follow management system procedures, 5S, and standard work
• Follow document control protocols
• Participate in rotating weekend on-call schedule
