About The Position

Vimocity is seeking an Industrial Athletic Trainer to serve as both a strategic customer partner and an on-the-ground performance specialist for our industrial clients. This hybrid role combines expertise in athletic training, movement science, ergonomics, and injury prevention with high-level customer relationship management and program implementation. You will act as the primary relationship owner for customer accounts while also conducting onsite visits, delivering workforce readiness coaching, supporting implementation initiatives, and helping organizations integrate Vimocity into their daily operations. You will work directly with utility, construction, and industrial organizations, engaging executives, safety leaders, operations managers, and frontline workers alike. Success in this role requires someone who can build trusted customer relationships in the boardroom while also confidently coaching workers in the field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Health, or related field required.
  • Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) strongly preferred; additional degrees and certifications such as DPT, DC, CSCS, NASM, FMS, SFMA, or ergonomic certifications are a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in industrial athletic training, occupational health, strength & conditioning.
  • Experience working with utility, construction, industrial, energy, or physically demanding work environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of biomechanics, ergonomics, movement assessment, and injury prevention principles.
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships and communicate effectively with both executives and frontline workers.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple customer accounts and priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working independently in both field and remote environments.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, customer success platforms, G-Suite, and digital collaboration tools.
  • Based in the Midwest and willing to travel up to 25% for onsite customer engagement and program delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts from onboarding through renewal and expansion.
  • Build trusted relationships with executive sponsors, safety directors, operations leaders, supervisors, and frontline personnel.
  • Lead customer onboarding and implementation planning, including rollout strategy, communication plans, adoption milestones, and engagement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular customer business reviews and executive-level presentations that connect workforce readiness outcomes to safety, productivity, retention, and operational performance.
  • Monitor customer engagement and utilization data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth or improvement.
  • Collaborate with Sales to support renewals, upsells, and expansion opportunities.
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally by sharing field insights with Product, Content, and Technology teams.
  • Conduct onsite visits to utility, construction, and industrial customer locations to support program delivery and relationship development.
  • Deliver in-person and virtual coaching sessions focused on movement quality, ergonomics, injury prevention, readiness, recovery, and performance optimization.
  • Analyze job tasks and physical demands to identify movement inefficiencies, injury risks, and performance opportunities.
  • Assist customers in implementing workforce readiness initiatives that improve worker resilience and reduce injury exposure.
  • Support ergonomic assessments, movement screenings, and job-specific intervention strategies.
  • Help develop and deliver educational content, workshops, toolbox talks, and digital resources for customers.
  • Reinforce customer adoption by helping frontline teams integrate Vimocity into daily workflows and safety culture.
  • Partner with customers to identify relevant workforce health and safety initiatives and curate targeted content and campaigns.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with research, analytics, product, and content teams to improve delivery methods and customer outcomes.
  • Capture field insights, case studies, and outcome data to support program refinement and customer ROI reporting.
  • Represent Vimocity as a brand ambassador in customer environments and industry events.
