About The Position

Emler Swim and Gymnastic Schools is hiring Swim Instructors and Lifeguards to create a safe, fun, and encouraging environment where children can learn and thrive. Team members may specialize in one role; those with current lifeguard certifications may also have the opportunity to teach lessons and provide lifeguard coverage as needed. Swim Instructors receive paid, hands-on training and work with an experienced mentor to learn the school's swim instruction methods. The role involves teaching children ages 6 months to 12 years, building positive relationships with students and parents, celebrating milestones, and prioritizing pool safety. Lifeguards monitor pool activities, enforce rules, respond to emergencies, perform rescues, provide CPR/AED/First Aid when necessary, conduct safety checks, and support special events and weekend pool parties. This is an active, on-your-feet and in-the-water role. Shifts include evenings and weekends, with opportunities to pick up additional hours through cross-training. The position offers an hourly pay range of $15 to $18, depending on experience, skills, and certifications. Entry-level team members start at the beginning of the range, with opportunities for increases as they develop.
