Indirect Loan Processor (Bi-Lingual English/Spanish)
About The Position
Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU) is hiring a bilingual English/Spanish Indirect Loan Processor for its Melbourne Headquarters Loan Processing Department. The position supports timely and accurate funding for members and prospective members financing vehicles through participating automobile, motorcycle, boat, and RV dealerships. The processor reviews dealer loan packages, updates application information, supports membership account opening, and helps ensure loans and dealer reserves are disbursed within established Service Level Agreements. The role offers a hybrid schedule, with work from home up to three days per week and two days per week in the office. SCCU highlights on-the-job training and opportunities for internal promotion. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with availability required during department operating hours of 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., plus rotating Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of customer service experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish ability.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts, navigate moderately complex or sensitive discussions, and resolve problems in stressful situations.
- Self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to solve problems independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Review indirect loan packages from dealer partners for completeness and accuracy before loan issuance and dealer payment, and submit applications to Underwriting as needed.
- Update application information to reflect received loan documents and verified data.
- Follow up promptly on incomplete applications and support the return or decline of applications that miss completion deadlines.
- Determine SCCU membership eligibility and open new membership accounts for qualified applicants.
- Work with Indirect Processing and Indirect Lending teams to resolve issues and fund applications within established Service Level Agreements.
- Respond to indirect loan inquiries from dealer partners, members, and SCCU Team Members, escalating complex matters when appropriate.
