This is a 3-year fixed-term appointment for an Indigenous Research Fellow (Identified) role, open exclusively to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants. The position is part-time, with a workload of 0.6 for the first two years and 0.8 for the third year. The role is based at the Clayton campus and offers a remuneration package between $123,138 - $146,228 per annum (Level B, pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation. The successful candidate will join the School of Education and Culture and play a key role in the ARC Discovery Project, 'Hitting the Limits: Intersectional Sexisms in Australian Universities'. This involves leading and conducting research with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and gender diverse academics, utilizing Indigenous knowledges, methodologies, and culturally informed approaches. The role requires designing and delivering high-quality research, engaging collaboratively and ethically with participants and communities, and ensuring culturally safe practices. Responsibilities include data collection, analysis, interpretation, dissemination through publications and presentations, and contributing to improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Additionally, the fellow will contribute to the broader research environment by developing funding proposals, supervising staff and students, mentoring junior researchers, managing research administration, participating in professional activities, and potentially contributing to teaching.
