About The Position

This is a field-based, independent sales representative role (1099) with a territory in Chicago, IL. The position requires the individual to be their own CEO, build their own business, and shape school memories. The role involves growing a territory by signing new business, developing prospects, and leading relationships with schools, while representing the Jostens brand. The representative will have the freedom to run their business with support from Jostens, including a proven business model, training, marketing, and advertising support. The compensation is 100% commission-based with a monthly draw and uncapped earning potential. The role also involves operating an independent office, managing business expenses, and potentially hiring and leading support staff.

Requirements

  • Entrepreneurial self-starter.
  • Passion for contributing to a positive and rewarding school experience.
  • Proven experience in consultative, educational, or B2C sales and/or sales management.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and takes ownership of success.
  • Track record of developing new business and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Strong financial and operational understanding to run a business effectively.
  • Confident partnering with diverse stakeholders, from administrators to students.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and nationally (up to 70%).
  • Reside within the assigned territory (Chicago, IL).
  • 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Grow the Market through prospecting, lead generation, and expanding market share.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with school administrators, advisors, teachers, and students.
  • Advise and partner with school leadership on Jostens products and services.
  • Maintain an independent office and manage all business expenses, including travel.
  • Recruit, train, and compensate office and sales support as needed.
  • Follow all laws applicable to the independent business.
  • Uphold Jostens’ values of accountability, integrity, responsibility, and respect.
