About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators to work under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers loads, experienced dispatchers, negotiable rates, and load matching based on drivers’ preferences. Rates listed are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for Sprinters on long-mile routes in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile on long-mile routes in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile for Sprinters in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days, with a 3% quick-pay option. The stated operating days are Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers; applicants must apply as owner-operators.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or work authorization holder.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be at least 21 years old.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English; Russian speakers are also hired.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinter vehicles must be model year 2016 or newer.
Vehicles must have at least 4 straps and PPE.
Remove all vehicle decals.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.

Responsibilities

Operate as an owner-operator under a written independent contractor agreement.
Provide and operate a Sprinter or Cargo Van that meets the stated vehicle requirements.
Inform the company before putting the vehicle on the road if changes are made to it.
Submit vehicle registration and insurance documents.
Complete company approval, acceptance, and registration before accepting loads.
Coordinate load preferences with dispatchers and accept suitable loads.
