About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company does not hire company drivers. Owner-operators receive access to a large number of loads, with dispatchers who have more than four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates are competitive and negotiable with dispatchers. Sprinter rates are listed as $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas and $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas. Canada Sprinter rates are $1.25–$1.55 per mile. Loads are personalized according to the owner-operator’s preferences. Payment is made within 3–5 business days, with a 3% quick-pay option. The stated operating days are Monday–Friday. A minimum average monthly salary of $8,000 or more is stated, depending on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC credentials.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
• Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
• The owner-operator and any drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The owner-operator and any drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
• All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
• Sprinter vehicles must be model year 2016 or newer.
• Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
• Remove all vehicle decals.
• Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
• Have at least six months of driving experience.

Nice To Haves

• Russian language ability; Russian speakers are also hired.
• Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC credentials may affect the stated average monthly salary.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate a Sprinter or Cargo Van to transport accepted loads.
• Coordinate load preferences with dispatchers and accept loads offered by VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER.
• Ensure all drivers are approved, accepted, and registered with the company before accepting a load.
• Provide vehicle registration and insurance documentation.
• Inform the company before putting the vehicle on the road if making changes to it.
