About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers a large number of loads, personalized according to the operator’s load preferences, and dispatchers with more than four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates are negotiable with dispatchers. Listed Sprinter rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. Work days are Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers; applicants apply to work as owner-operators under an independent contractor agreement. The stated minimum average monthly earnings are $8,000 or more, depending on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and Hazmat or TSA/TWIC qualifications.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
• Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
• The owner-operator and drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The owner-operator and drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
• At least six months of driving experience.
• Sprinter vehicles must be no older than 2016.
• Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
• Remove all vehicle decals.
• Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
• All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.

Nice To Haves

• Russian language ability; the company also hires Russian speakers.
• Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC qualifications may affect earnings.

Responsibilities

• Operate as an owner-operator under a written independent contractor agreement.

• Complete company approval, acceptance, and registration before accepting loads.
