About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is seeking Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators for nationwide freight under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers a large number of loads, personalized load offers based on driver preferences, and rates that can be negotiated with dispatchers. Dispatchers have at least four years of experience. Advertised Sprinter rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated operating days are Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers; applicants must apply as owner-operators and have their own vehicle.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
• Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
• The owner-operator and their drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The owner-operator and their drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
• Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.
• Have at least six months of driving experience.
• Sprinter vehicles must be model year 2016 or newer.
• All vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE, and all decals must be removed.
• Provide vehicle registration and insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Russian-language ability is accommodated; Russian speakers are also hired.
• A Hazmat certificate and TSA/TWIC are cited as factors that may affect earnings.

Responsibilities

• Provide and operate an eligible Sprinter or Cargo Van as an owner-operator.
• Complete registration and approval with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting company loads.
• Provide vehicle registration and insurance documents.
• Inform the company before putting the vehicle on the road if making changes to it.
• Equip the vehicle with at least four straps and PPE, and remove all decals.
