About The Position

Guardian Angel Senior Services is seeking compassionate, dependable Independent Community Support Workers to provide individualized support to adults who need assistance living more independently. The role focuses on helping people build confidence, develop life skills, and stay connected to their communities. Workers support daily routines and independent living skills, encourage participation in community activities, and promote choice, self-advocacy, and independence while respecting each person's preferences. They follow individualized service plans, document services and progress, communicate with supervisors and care teams, and may assist with personal care when included in the service plan and within their training.

Requirements

Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries.
Reliable transportation to assigned locations.
Willingness to complete required training and employment screenings.

Nice To Haves

Experience in community support, habilitation, direct care, caregiving, or human services.

Responsibilities

Support daily routines, organization, and independent living skills.
Help individuals practice meal planning, shopping, budgeting, and household tasks.
Encourage participation in community activities, appointments, and social opportunities.
Promote choice, self-advocacy, and independence while respecting each person's preferences.
Follow individualized service plans and document services, progress, and concerns.
Communicate with the supervisor and care team to provide consistent support.
Assist with personal care when included in the service plan and within the worker's training.
