Person County Department of Social Services is recruiting for an Income Maintenance Caseworker I for the Adult Medicaid unit. The Income Maintenance Caseworker I (IMC I) is an entry-level position, learning and performing basic tasks associated with determining eligibility and responsible for public assistance programs such as Food and Nutrition Services (FNS), Medicaid, or other economic services programs. Work at this level reflects the performance of multiple functions within the eligibility process such as interviewing the client, obtaining the required information, completing initial applications, verifying the information obtained, or completing schedule program reviews; This person also responds to information from other sources and reports generated by automated matches and other sources to determine the effect on the case, as well as to reply to requests for information. The starting salary will be determined with consideration given to both the candidate's educational background and relevant work experience. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record per County policy. This is a non-exempt position working 37.5 hours weekly/1950 hours annually.
