This role involves hands-on execution of in vivo studies including infection, monitoring viremia, monitoring immune response, and tissue collection. It requires proficiency in the preparation and dosing of agents via multiple routes of administration and the evaluation and implementation of novel in vivo techniques and technologies. Detailed record keeping in electronic lab notebooks is essential. Handling of HIV+ materials is a requirement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with biological sciences, toxicology, or a related field with direct experience with animal handling (small and large mammals)
  • Experience with injections via the intraperitoneal (IP) and intracranial (IC) routes, intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV), and subcutaneous (SQ) routes of administration.
  • Experience with observations of physical signs, differentiating and understanding normal animal behavior and behavior induced due to compound effects.
  • Experience with gross examinations and necropsy.
  • Knowledge of cGMPs and experience working in a GMP environment.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on execution of in vivo studies involving infection, monitoring viremia, monitoring immune response and tissue collection.
  • Proficiency in preparation and dosing of agents via multiple routes of administration (including IM, PO, IP, SC, IN, and IV).
  • Evaluation and implementation of novel in vivo techniques and technologies.
  • Detailed record keeping of all experimental information in electronic lab notebooks.
  • Handling of HIV+ materials is a requirement in this role.
