About The Position

RadNet is hiring an In Suite Assistant 1 to support MRI safety and patient care in a clinical imaging environment. The role assists MRI Steering Technologists, Radiologists, and administrative staff, helping ensure patients are screened and observed appropriately and that MRI exams are conducted safely. The assistant also supports procedure preparation and the upkeep of the MRI suite while protecting patient information and property and interacting professionally with patients, families, coworkers, and the public.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• At least one year of experience in a medical setting.
• Completion of an approved MR Technologist Assistant program, including hands-on clinical training.
• Excellent interpersonal, public relations, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to assist in lifting patients onto a table.
• Professional communication and sound judgment, including the ability to remain professional in all situations.
• Ability to prioritize work and understand complex problems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to MRI Steering Technologists, Radiologists, and administrative staff to support MRI safety and patient care.
• Convey patient history to MRI Technologists and assist with MRI safety, coil positioning, patient screening and history, and patient observation during exams.
• Support technologists with procedures, including setting up coils, maintaining schedules, and cleaning up the MRI suite.
• Safeguard patient property and protected health information.
• Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Respect company property, including cash and patient financial information on site or in patient portals.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers and respond to others’ needs.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
