In-Store Sales Representative
About The Position
American Home Design is hiring part-time and full-time In-Store Promotions Representatives for its Knoxville-area team, with opportunities in Knoxville, Maryville, Centerline, Oak Ridge, Sevierville, Lenoir City, and Morristown. Representatives work inside local Home Depot stores, engaging shoppers and scheduling appointments for a free water test with homeowners. The role offers paid training, a base wage plus an uncapped bonus opportunity, and flexible scheduling. Top in-store representatives are reported to make over $30 per hour. Full-time employment with benefits, including health insurance, may be available as an opportunity.
Requirements
- Customer-facing background, such as serving, retail, or call center experience.
- Ability to speak with customers confidently and enthusiastically.
- Ability to work independently, self-motivate, and handle rejection comfortably.
- Tech-savvy and able to learn app-based systems.
- Must be able to work at least one weekend day.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Engage shoppers in conversation using a trained script to generate interest in more information.
- Call the Call Center to confirm and schedule the customer's appointment on the spot.
- Use the provided script and technology tools accurately.
- Maintain energy and professionalism throughout the shift.
- Meet and exceed hourly appointment expectations.
