In-Store Demo Specialist

Airgoods•New York, NY
•$15,000 - $20,000•Onsite

About The Position

Airgoods runs in-store demonstrations for emerging food and beverage brands at specialty grocery stores in Manhattan and Brooklyn. As a Demo Specialist, you represent the brand during each demo: set up a tasting table, introduce shoppers to the product, and help turn samples into sales. Specialists choose which available demos to accept and when, with earnings increasing based on sales. A typical demo involves setting up the table with provided materials, sampling the product and sharing the brand’s story, photographing the table and setup with a smartphone, recording shoppers’ feedback, and breaking down the setup before sending a short recap with feedback and photos. Product information is provided in advance. Demos usually involve three hours on the floor plus brief setup and breakdown time, and are mostly on weekends and weekday evenings. There is no minimum or cap on demos; many specialists take around two to three per week, and the opportunity works best for people who can take more than one demo per month. This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity. Compensation is $75 per three-hour demo plus 20% of the retail price of each unit sold during the demo, based on store sales data. Optional monthly networking events, startup resources, and one-on-one meetings with Airgoods founders and team are also available.
